Clarifying the correlation between large testes and a promiscuous mating system: large testes are usually evidential of a high sperm production, which in turn usually means that males mate more often than strictly necessary for reproduction. In most species this indicates that there is “sperm competition” over fertile females. In species where males can monopolize mating access to females (e.g. gorillas), the males’ testes are small, in species where monopolization is impossible (e.g. chimps) testes are big, and males try to ensure fathering offspring by mating often.

hi… i LOVE lemurs! They are so adorable. I think it is great that they found this adorable species… I am now using lemurs for my animal project also in school so i am happy that i can mention that they are still finding adorable new species of them… thanks for being so dedicated and finding them in madagascar lemuroligists!

Some info about Microcebus lehilahytsara is available in a Primate Report article (July 2005 issue) and in a World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) fact sheet. The University of Wisconsin's Primate Info Net also offers great info on a variety of primates. Just a suggestion for your project -- use spell check and ask someone to read your report before submitting it.
